Integrative Medicine

The best way to treat any ailment is, in most cases, by using therapies which are most effective and appropriate for the patient and his ailment, and which work in synergy. Every therapy has its limitations and cannot consequently treat everything like it is impossible to fix a car with a screwdriver only. Integrative medicine is the use of multiple treatment modalities to get the best and quickest outcome.

However, it is very important to understand that the essential pre-requisite for the right treatment is a thorough holistic examination as the one that I will perform the first time you come and consult me.

This examination is the means to identify the factors (environmental, biochemical, physical, energetic, mental and emotional) that cause or influence your pain or condition(s). To get you better and well as quickly as possible, I will then use the most effective and appropriate tools or therapies I know to address those factors/causes.

The therapies are used either on their own or in combination according to what I think, and feel will give the best results at the time of the consultation.

Pain and ailments people suffer from have in most cases several causes and are influenced by many factors. This is especially true for chronic pain or conditions. For this reason, using only one kind of therapy is destined to fail as you would fail to fix your car engine using only a hammer while you need a certain set of tools.

There are some instances where one therapy or tool is enough to restore the health of the person but even then, the appropriate one needs to be identified and used. For example, treating a low back pain with counselling while the cause is mechanical won’t give any results. Similarly treating a low back pain with osteopathic treatments while the cause is psychological won’t work too!
